About the Role:
Northamptonshire Children’s Trust is currently seeking an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established service supporting vulnerable children and families across Northamptonshire.

Social workers are typically based at the office closest to their allocated cases. For those undertaking cross-county visits, there is full flexibility to hot desk from any locality office across Northamptonshire. The role offers hybrid working, with an expectation of three days per week office-based.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of children subject to safeguarding and child protection plans
• Undertake statutory visits in line with legislation and local procedures
• Complete high-quality assessments, plans, and reports within required timescales
• Work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes
• Participate in multi-agency meetings, conferences, and reviews
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records

Requirements:
• Social Work qualification (Degree or equivalent)
• Registered with Social Work England
• Proven experience within a Children’s Safeguarding / Child Protection team
• Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and safeguarding procedures
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-agency environment
