About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is pleased to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Qualified Children’s Social Worker to join Halton Borough Council’s Duty and Assessment Team. This is a frontline statutory role within a supportive and professional team environment, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on outcomes for children and families within the local community.

The successful candidate will be confident in managing risk, undertaking statutory assessments, and working collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake initial and statutory assessments of children and families
• Manage a varied caseload involving children in need, child protection, and court work
• Respond promptly to referrals, assessing risk and need to ensure timely intervention
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children
• Undertake home visits and build effective working relationships with families
• Produce high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes
• Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker (Degree or Diploma in Social Work)
• Registration with Social Work England
• Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification permanent experience
• Proven experience within a Duty and Assessment or equivalent frontline children’s team
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation
• Ability to manage a complex caseload while maintaining high professional standards
• Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Access to a car for work purposes
