About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join our Children in Care Team in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to make a real impact in the lives of children and young people. The successful candidate will be responsible for fulfilling statutory duties, ensuring the best outcomes for children in care, and contributing to the team’s growth through collaboration and knowledge-sharing.

Key Responsibilities

• Chairing multi-disciplinary meetings and collaborating with other agencies and professionals to complete assessments and develop child-centered care plans.
• Conducting annual Children and Family Assessments to ensure care plans remain up-to-date and accurately reflect the child’s needs.
• Ensuring children’s daily care needs are met and providing direct work, life story work, and collaboration with professionals to help children understand their care journey.
• Managing a caseload of up to 18 children, including those subject to Care Orders, Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children, children placed with parents, and those under Placement Orders.
• Contributing to team development by sharing knowledge, enhancing skills, and supporting the team’s overall growth.
• About You
• A qualified Social Worker with current registration.
• Recent experience working with Children in Care (CIC) and adoption, with a CIC-focused role held within the last five years.
• Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with children, families, and professionals.
• A commitment to continuous professional development, learning, and reflective practice.
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally for longer-distance visits as required.
