Hours: 37 Hours Per Week

Childrens Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team, Ely Childrens team undertaking court and child protection on long term cases. Must have experience of complex CP work / PLO and court work.

Hybrid working – days in the office dependent on business needs

Family Safeguarding Social Workers play a crucial role in protecting and supporting children and families. Their responsibilities encompass a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of children up to the age of 18.

Key duties typically include:​

Case Management: Handling a diverse caseload involving Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), Public Law Outline (PLO), and care proceedings.  

Assessments and Planning: Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify needs, strengths, and risks, and developing robust plans with clear, measurable outcomes.​

Direct Engagement: Building effective, empowering relationships with children, young people, and their families to facilitate positive change and improved outcomes.​

Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Working alongside professionals such as adult mental health workers, drug and alcohol recovery workers, and domestic abuse specialists to provide holistic support
