Applicants have experience of working in an Assessment team duty, or MASH team Must be familiar with Assessment processes, caseloads – 25 to 35 per SW
Remote working is allowed but visits and assessments must be completed
The Hiring manager is willing to consider Newly Qualified social worker who has Children Assessment within their student placements.
• Social work experience in local government, voluntary or independent sector.
• Direct experience of working with relevant client groups, especially those from different racial & cultural backgrounds.
• Ability to initiate, draft & produce reports.
• Ability to deal with / record casework, communicate effectively with client groups & professionals in order to assess client needs.
• Ability to attend & organise case conferences & reviews for the purpose of assessing & monitoring the development of service users.
• Ability to develop person-centred care plans.
• Ability to deal with conflict and complaints.
• Ability to participate within a duty team framework.
• Knowledge of relevant statutory social work legislation.
• Knowledge of the issues relating to the well-being of service users covering a wide range of clients.
Qualified Social Worker Requirements
– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work and/or completion of ASYE or 2 years experience
– Current Social Worker England registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
