About the Role:
Gloucestershire County Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Child & Family Advanced Practitioner to join their frontline social care team. This role is ideal for a resilient and driven practitioner who wants to make a real difference for children and young people with complex and challenging needs.

You will manage a protected caseload and take a lead in promoting quality improvement, performance monitoring, and supporting reflective practice within the team. Additionally, you will provide guidance and monthly reflective supervision to Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs) and support Social Work students in the team, while management responsibilities for NQSWs remain with Team Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a protected caseload of children and young people with complex needs, risks, and circumstances
• Lead and support quality control and improvement activities across the service
• Support performance monitoring and development initiatives
• Provide monthly reflective supervision and conduct one observation of practice for NQSWs
• Support and mentor Social Work students within the team
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to deliver positive outcomes for children

Requirements:
• Registered Social Worker with Social Work England
• Experience at Senior Social Worker level
• Recognised Social Work qualification
• Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Gloucestershire
• Enhanced DBS clearance
