Core working hours are Monday – Friday 9-5pm

The roles would be primarily to deliver initial assessments for children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental illness and to work as lead practitioners for children with complex presentations and who may have significant professional involvement which would mean building close working relationships with partner teams and agencies to develop robust and effective care and risk management plans.

The team works in a multidisciplinary model and practitioners have access to all the disciplines including systemic and psychotherapy, psychology, psychiatry, nursing and social work.  The team benefits from a supportive administrative team who work closely with clinicians to ensure that our practice is underpinned by high standards of record keeping and timely report production.

The posts can come from a range of disciplines including nursing, social work, OT and other professions that are appropriately registered with a recognised registration body.

CAMHS in Horsham serves the Horsham/Crawley/Mid Sussex areas of the county.

We are a clinic based service and appointments are routinely held at New Park House in Horsham. We have a staff car park and the setting is 3 minutes’ walk from Horsham railway station.

The team enjoys good relationships and we meet regularly for reflective practice, complex case discussions, MDT’s and business meetings.

The post holder will benefit from regular professional and management supervision and will be invited to the professional group meetings relevant to their discipline.
