💰 Rate/Salary: Up to £22.00 per hour (Umbrella)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientist to join the Histology team at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. This is a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the delivery of a high-quality pathology service supporting women’s health.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialised histological techniques to a high standard
• Embed and cut gynaecological surgical and placental tissue efficiently and accurately
• Maintain high levels of quality control and adhere to laboratory protocols
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support effective service delivery

Requirements:
• HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist
• Proven experience in Histology, including embedding and microtomy
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
