Slough Council is seeking a dedicated Allocation Officer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in housing allocations and housing registers to contribute to our important work in providing accommodation to those in need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate accommodation to households in line with the Housing Allocation Scheme through the direct matching system.
• Administer the direct matching process for specific groups, including those with medical needs, delayed discharge of care cases, under-occupiers, and homeless cases.
• Coordinate the input of void and new build properties from Housing Associations to ensure accurate and timely updates.

Requirements:

• Practical experience of NEC (Northgate), Civica, and Jigsaw in allocations and housing register contexts.
• A strong understanding of housing allocation processes and the ability to work efficiently within the framework of the Housing Allocation Scheme.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and handle a variety of responsibilities.
