About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is recruiting on behalf of Torbay Council Children’s Services for an Advanced Social Worker to join the Children in Need, Additional Needs Team. This is a key position within the service, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families while supporting the development of social work practice across the team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead peer supervision and reflective practice, providing coaching and mentoring across Children’s Social Care.
• Manage a full caseload of complex cases, ensuring high-quality assessments and care plans.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality assurance through auditing and performance monitoring.
• Promote best practice and learning from Serious Case Reviews.
• Participate in the Principal Social Worker Group, influencing practice standards and service improvement.

Requirements:
• Minimum three years post-qualifying experience (PQE) in direct employment with an English local authority.
• Must not have left a permanent social work role within the past six months in a children’s services department or within a local authority in the South West region.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model: part remote (with suitable Wi-Fi and workspace) and part office-based in Torbay.
• Social Work England registration.
