About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Advanced Practitioner – Family Safeguarding to join Telford & Wrekin Council.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join the Family Safeguarding Team, with advanced rates available for suitable candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a diverse and complex caseload, undertaking assessments, care planning and interventions.
• Assess and manage risk, making informed, evidence-based decisions and contributing to safeguarding and court proceedings.
• Apply relevant legislation, policies and best practice to deliver effective, child-focused services.
• Build strong relationships with children, families and multi-agency partners.
• Use a range of interventions, review outcomes and adapt plans where required.
• Maintain accurate records and produce high-quality reports, including court documentation.
• Undertake preventative work to reduce risk and support families.
• Contribute to effective multi-agency working and continuous service improvement.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration and commitment to CPD.
• Experience working with children and families, including safeguarding, assessment and care planning.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and make sound, evidence-based decisions.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and frameworks within children’s social care.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong Senior Social Workers with relevant experience will also be considered.

£500 Completion Bonus:

Successful agency workers will be eligible for a £500 completion bonus after completing 444 working hours, equivalent to 12 weeks at 37 hours per week.

The bonus will be processed through the usual timesheet process once the qualifying hours have been completed.
