Team: Adult Services – Safeguarding Team
Hours: Full Time – 37 hours per week
Salary: £35 – £40 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: Office-based, Central Milton Keynes

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Social Worker to join our Adult Services team in Milton Keynes. If you are passionate about supporting adults, safeguarding vulnerable individuals, and making critical decisions that protect and empower, this could be the perfect role for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for conducting safeguarding screenings in line with the latest legislation and ensuring that decision-making processes are rationalised and well-documented. The ability to manage complex cases and work effectively with other agencies is essential, as you will be integral to coordinating care and ensuring the safety and well-being of adults within our community.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct safeguarding screenings, ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation.

Make well-informed, rational decisions that protect adults at risk, ensuring that their needs are met.

Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including health services, police, and other social care teams.

Support the delivery of person-centred care plans and contribute to reviews of care services. 

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with legal and professional requirements. 

Provide advice and guidance on safeguarding protocols, supporting colleagues where needed.

About You:

Qualification: You must be a qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England.

Experience: Significant experience within Adult Services, specifically with safeguarding cases 

Skills: Strong communication skills, decision-making ability, and a commitment to working in the best interest of vulnerable adults 

Attributes: A proactive and compassionate approach to case management, with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Knowledge: A deep understanding of current safeguarding legislation and best practices.
