Position: Disrepair Surveyor (Repairs, Mould & Damp)
Type: Permanent
Location: Lewisham Council
Salary: £50,646 – £52,674 per annum
Vacancies: Up to 7 positions available

Key Responsibilities:

• Conducting thorough inspections to identify property defects and hazards
• Diagnosing issues such as structural faults, damp/mould, plumbing, and electrical problems 
• Preparing detailed, accurate reports with photographic evidence and actionable recommendations
• Advising on remedial actions and ensuring compliance with building regulations
• Collaborating with contractors, residents, and internal teams to drive efficient resolution 
• Supporting the council’s commitment to safe, decent homes

Essential Criteria:

• HHSRS-qualified with experience in housing condition surveys
• HNC (or equivalent) in Building Studies, Surveying, or related field
• Strong background in property maintenance and disrepair investigation. 
• Excellent reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
• A proactive approach and ability to work independently
• A valid UK driving licence
