Location: Remote – Equipment to be collected from Walsall Council on Day 1
Contract: 2 months initially (potential for extension)
Rate: £23 per hour (flexible for the right candidate)

Main Responsibilities:

• Handling valuation, billing, collection, and enforcement of Council Tax and Business Rates.
• Dealing with customer and stakeholder enquiries, providing advice via phone, email, letter, and other channels.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and systems in line with legislation and Council procedures.
• Using your knowledge of Council Tax, Business Rates, and Benefits legislation to deliver an efficient and compliant service.
• Ensuring a responsive and customer-focused approach to service delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in Council Tax billing and recovery.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and Council procedures.
• Great communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
