About the Role

Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join a friendly and supportive Children with Disabilities (CWD) City & South Team in Norwich.

This is a rewarding temporary opportunity to make a meaningful difference to children, young people and their families, supporting them throughout their journey with Children’s Services.

The Children with Disabilities service supports children and young people aged 0–18 with substantial and permanent disabilities, working alongside families to provide tailored support and promote positive outcomes.

You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team alongside Social Workers, Family Practitioners, Assistant Practitioners, Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapist Assistant Practitioners.

The service provides support across the full journey, from initial referral through to CIN, CP, CLA and transition into adulthood.

Key Responsibilities

• Hold and manage your own caseload of children and young people
• Identify areas of need and assess individual circumstances
• Develop and coordinate appropriate support packages
• Undertake direct and individual work with children, young people and families
• Work closely with CWD Occupational Therapists and Outreach services
• Promote independence and ensure children and young people have equal opportunities
• Work collaboratively with families and a range of internal and external partners
• Contribute to a holistic, child-centred approach to support and safeguarding
• Work across the full journey of Children’s Services, including CIN, CP, CLA and transition to adulthood
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure assessments, plans and interventions are appropriately documented
• Contribute effectively to multi-disciplinary discussions and decision-making

Requirements

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Relevant Social Work qualification
• Current Social Work England (SWE) registration
• Strong assessment and case management skills
• Experience working within Children’s Services
• Proven experience holding and managing a caseload of children and young people
• Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• A child-centred and family-focused approach
• Ability to identify needs and coordinate appropriate support
• Understanding of safeguarding and statutory children’s social care processes
• Ability to work across areas including CIN, CP, CLA and transition to adulthood

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working within a Children with Disabilities (CWD) service
• Experience supporting children and young people with substantial and permanent disabilities
• Experience working alongside Occupational Therapists and Outreach services
• Experience supporting children and families through transition into adulthood

Required Documents

Successful candidates will be required to provide relevant documentation, which may include:

• Proof of Social Work qualification
• Current SWE registration
• Right to Work documentation
• Relevant employment references
• Enhanced DBS or other required safeguarding checks, where applicable
