About the Role:

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead and manage a high-quality, person-centred service in Newcastle.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced care professional with strong leadership, governance and operational management experience, who is passionate about delivering safe, effective and person-centred services.

As Registered Manager, you will lead a committed team to deliver efficient, high-quality and cost-effective services, ensuring compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.

The service may support between 6 and 200 customers, depending on the service model, registration type, bed spaces/units and commissioner requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate and develop a customer-facing team.
• Line manage Deputy Registered Managers, Service Managers, Care/Support Workers and Coordinators.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe and person-centred care.
• Promote independence, dignity and positive outcomes for customers.
• Maintain strong governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Manage staffing, performance and resourcing requirements.
• Work closely with health and social care partners, stakeholders and commissioners.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets and service outcomes.
• Lead service improvement following audits, inspections and quality reviews.
• Promote a culture of open communication, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets ranging from approximately £200,000 to £2.2 million.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained in line with regulatory requirements.
• Undertake investigations and manage people-related issues where required.
• Ensure effective induction, training, development and competency of staff.
• Support the service to maintain high standards of care, safeguarding and regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or actively working towards it, or an equivalent qualification.
• Strong understanding of CQC Fundamental Standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior management position within health or social care.
• Proven experience leading, managing and developing teams.
• Experience in governance, quality assurance, audits and service improvement.
• Experience working with health and social care partners, stakeholders and commissioners.
• Strong understanding of safe and effective care practices.
• Experience managing staffing, performance and operational issues.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, including experience managing budgets and KPIs.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive, confidential and complex situations professionally.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Proactive approach with strong accountability and problem-solving skills.
• Experience within accommodation services, including housing management, voids and arrears management, would be beneficial where applicable.
