Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Specialist Family Support Worker to join their innovative Family Help Team in Darlington.

This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the Family Help Model pilot, supporting children and families through early intervention and Child in Need services. You will work alongside experienced Social Workers and other professionals, managing your own caseload while making a meaningful difference to the lives of vulnerable children and families.

🌟 Key Responsibilities

✅ Manage a caseload of Child in Need cases
✅ Complete Children & Families Assessments
✅ Build positive relationships with children, young people and families
✅ Develop, implement and review child-centred support plans
✅ Work collaboratively with Social Workers, Education, Health and partner agencies
✅ Monitor progress and ensure positive outcomes for children and families
✅ Maintain accurate case records and prepare professional reports
✅ Promote safeguarding and the welfare of children at all times
✅ Participate in reflective supervision and ongoing professional development

✅ Requirements

✔ Recognised qualification in Social Care, Childcare, Youth Work, Family Support or a related discipline
✔ Experience working with children, young people and families within a statutory Children’s Services or Early Help setting
✔ Experience managing Child in Need or Family Support caseloads
✔ Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
✔ Excellent communication, assessment and report writing skills
✔ Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
✔ Strong organisational and time management skills
✔ Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
