💰 Rate/Salary: PAYE £15.43 per hour | Umbrella £19.83 per hour

About the Role:
Bolton Council is seeking experienced and dedicated Family Support Workers to join its Referral and Assessment Team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work alongside Social Workers, delivering high-quality interventions and support to children, young people, and families to achieve positive and sustainable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting family time arrangements
• Assisting Social Workers with home visits
• Undertaking direct work with children and young people
• Supporting families with behaviour management, routines, and boundaries
• Providing budgeting support and guidance
• Making referrals to appropriate support services
• Working with families subject to Child in Need Plans
• Supporting families involved in Child Protection Plans
• Assisting with work relating to Court Proceedings
• Maintaining accurate records and reports in line with service requirements

Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children, young people, and families
• Experience supporting families within statutory services is desirable
• Understanding of Child in Need and Child Protection processes
• Full UK driving licence is essential
• Ability to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs
• Ability to work from the office as required during the week
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
