About the Role:

Supply Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of Manchester City Council for an experienced Interim Registered Manager to lead a Short Breaks Service supporting adults with learning disabilities.

This is a critical leadership role within a CQC-regulated service, responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care while maintaining full compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will provide strong operational leadership, oversee service quality, and drive positive outcomes for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the Registered Manager for a CQC-regulated service.
• Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards and all relevant legislation.
• Lead safeguarding investigations, risk management processes, and incident responses.
• Provide effective leadership, supervision, and performance management for staff teams.
• Maintain high standards of care, safety, and service delivery.
• Oversee care planning, assessments, reviews, and record-keeping processes.
• Monitor and improve service performance through effective quality assurance processes.
• Manage service delivery within budgetary and organisational requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, professionals, commissioners, and partner agencies.
• Support service improvement initiatives and contribute to service development and stabilisation activities where required.
• Ensure the service promotes independence, wellbeing, and positive experiences for service users.

About the Service:

• Short Breaks provision for adults with learning disabilities.
• Supports individuals with a range of complex needs.
• Focused on promoting independence, wellbeing, and person-centred support.
• Works collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
• Delivers high-quality respite and short-break opportunities within a regulated environment.

Requirements:

• Significant experience as a Registered Manager or equivalent senior leadership role within Adult Social Care.
• Strong working knowledge of CQC regulations, standards, and inspection frameworks.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
• Proven safeguarding, risk management, and regulatory compliance experience.
• Strong leadership, staff management, and workforce development skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams within a demanding service environment.
• Experience managing service quality, audits, and performance monitoring.
• Experience in service improvement, stabilisation, or turnaround activities is desirable.
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
• Enhanced DBS required.
• Immediate availability or ability to start at short notice is highly desirable.
