About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Placement Officer on behalf of Birmingham Children’s Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Placements Finding Service, working collaboratively with professionals and agencies to coordinate suitable placements and services for children and young people.

The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, matching, negotiating, and arranging placements that achieve positive outcomes while ensuring effective use of delegated resources and best value for the service.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work as an active and effective member of the Placements Finding Service
• Coordinate suitably matched placements and services for children and young people
• Liaise with professionals, providers, and external agencies
• Identify, negotiate, and arrange placements to meet individual needs
• Ensure placements achieve positive outcomes and best value
• Participate in the daily duty system
• Maintain accurate records and placement information
• Work flexibly to meet the demands of the service

Requirements:
• Experience working within Social Work, Fostering, or Residential services
• Experience working within a fast-paced team environment
• Flexible and adaptable approach to service needs
• Ability to work collaboratively with professionals and partner agencies
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Experience managing competing priorities effectively
