About the Role:
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and well-organised individual to join the Direct Payments Team within Adult Social Care.
As a Direct Payments Case Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who choose to manage their care through Direct Payments. Working within a supportive team, you will help people manage their care packages effectively while promoting independence, choice, and control.
Initial training will be office-based in Blackpool Town Centre, with hybrid working potentially available following the training period. The role also involves visiting individuals in their own homes at times that meet their needs, therefore accessibility to Blackpool is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Work collaboratively within the team while managing your own workload effectively
β’ Provide guidance and support to current and potential Direct Payments users regarding recruitment and employment matters
β’ Monitor, support, advise, and assist individuals in managing Direct Payments packages and associated finances
β’ Review and assess financial records and documentation using Microsoft Excel
β’ Carry out home visits and build positive working relationships with service users and stakeholders
β’ Promote awareness of Direct Payments and support the ongoing development of the service
β’ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and agency arrangements relevant to Direct Payments
Requirements:
β’ Previous experience within Adult Social Care or Direct Payments services
β’ Strong Microsoft Excel skills
β’ Ability to manage workload independently and within a team environment
β’ Enhanced Child & Adult DBS Check
β’ 2 yearsβ references
β’ Full employment history with no unexplained gaps
β’ Essential qualifications as per Job Description
β’ Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
