About the Role:
There has never been a more exciting time to join Birmingham Children’s Trust as they celebrate their GOOD Ofsted status. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Family Support Worker to join a busy Family Help Team within the Northfield district.

The successful candidate will work as a Family Help Lead Practitioner, supporting children, young people, and families within the Family Help Team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake Section 17 (S17) assessments with oversight from a Practice Supervisor
• Complete direct work with children, young people, and families
• Implement Child in Need plans
• Support families within the Family Help Team environment
• Work collaboratively with professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families

Requirements:
• Previous experience within children and family services
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Ability to undertake assessments and direct family support work
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Enhanced DBS required
