About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a valued local authority client in Middlesbrough for a Temporary Agency Administrator within Children’s Care. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive public service team, providing essential administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

Working under the guidance of a line manager, you will play a key role in supporting operational efficiency while contributing to the delivery of high-quality services for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a range of administrative duties including handling calls from professionals and the public, reception cover, and monitoring a centralised inbox
• Signpost queries appropriately, arrange interpreter services, and gather relevant information
• Provide general administrative support including document management, photocopying, and responding to routine correspondence
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using internal systems (including Liquid Logic)
• Manage incoming and outgoing post
• Coordinate meetings, appointments, and training sessions
• Use ICT systems including Microsoft Word, Excel, and internal databases
• Support financial processes including raising purchase orders
• Assist in training and mentoring colleagues, including developing guidance materials
• Liaise with internal departments and external professionals
• Attend meetings and take accurate notes when required

Requirements:
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Confident in using IT systems and databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively
• Professional and proactive approach, particularly when handling sensitive information
