About the Role:
I’m currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client in Darlington for an Early Intervention & School Attendance Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking service dedicated to improving outcomes for children, young people, and families.

The role focuses on the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) and Lead Professional processes, where you will provide expert advice, guidance, and training to partner agencies. You will play a key role in driving effective early help interventions, strengthening multi-agency collaboration, and improving school attendance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage front door Early Help enquiries, liaising with families and partner agencies (including police, health, schools, and youth services)
• Allocate cases to Early Intervention Workers and provide management oversight and sign-off
• Make informed decisions and recommendations on behalf of the service area
• Support and promote multi-agency Early Help Assessments
• Deliver training, consultation, and support to professionals on Early Help and attendance
• Supervise and support external partners acting as Lead Professionals
• Audit Early Help Assessments and ensure quality standards are met
• Provide full team management including supervision, performance management, and case oversight
• Advise schools on attendance strategies, legal processes, and enforcement
• Chair attendance panels and multi-agency meetings
• Liaise with legal services and provide professional challenge where required
• Analyse data to identify trends and inform service improvements
• Act as regional lead and attend strategic attendance meetings

Requirements:
• HCPC-recognised Social Work qualification or a relevant professional qualification (e.g. teaching, nursing, health visiting)
• Approximately 2 years’ experience working with children, young people, and families
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, information sharing, and school attendance legislation
