About the Role:
I am currently working with Suffolk County Council to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist for a 6-month agency contract based in Ipswich. This is a hybrid role requiring 2–3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, offering a great balance of flexibility and team collaboration.

The role focuses on proactively completing reviews and assessments across Adult Social Care, supporting the reduction of waiting lists while ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will play a key role in enabling individuals with complex needs to maximise their independence and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver safe and timely front-line occupational therapy services
• Support triage processes and reduce duplication between health and social care
• Review care packages to ensure best value and appropriate use of equipment
• Review double-handed care, waking night support, and general care packages
• Support external providers with safe moving and handling practices
• Complete OT assessments and reviews for adults with complex needs
• Provide mutual aid across OT services where required

Requirements:
• Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration
• Strong experience in assessment and review within Adult Social Care
• Experience in moving and handling
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
