About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is currently recruiting on behalf of Haringey Council for an experienced Customer Services Operations Lead to play a critical leadership role within the council’s Customer Services operation.
The role is based at the Customer Centre in Wood Green Library and requires a minimum of 4 days per week on-site. Exceptional candidates who are only able to work 4 days per week in total will also be considered.
The post exists to ensure residents, businesses, visitors, and the wider community can access the right information and advice first time, making it easy to interact with the council across all service channels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead day-to-day omni-channel customer service operations, including face-to-face, telephony, and digital channels
• Provide hands-on leadership and management support within the Wood Green Customer Centre
• Empower staff to resolve customer enquiries accurately, empathetically, and promptly
• Champion the residents’ voice and ensure equality of access at all times
• Develop, support, and performance-manage the operational workforce
• Identify and deliver tactical and strategic improvements across people, processes, technology, and performance
• Lead partnership working with council services to ensure right-first-time resolution and seamless end-to-end customer journeys
• Measure, analyse, and report on performance and customer satisfaction to key stakeholders

Requirements:
• Proven experience in a customer services leadership or operations management role
• Strong background in high-volume, resident-facing environments
• Experience leading multi-channel service delivery
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to drive service improvement and operational performance
• Experience working within a local authority or public sector setting (desirable)
