About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Assistant Team Manager to join Monmouthshire County Council’s Early Help and Assessment Team (EHAT). This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within a close-knit and supportive management team, making a real difference to safeguarding outcomes for children and families.
The role requires strong experience within a MASH / safeguarding environment, working closely with IAA workers, and undertaking senior or assistant team manager responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work with the EHAT management team and IAA workers to oversee Duty to Report forms and referrals into Children’s Services
• Provide professional social work leadership, including supervision, mentoring, and practice development
• Undertake case audits and attend court where required
• Chair and minute strategy discussion meetings and ensure accurate system updates
• Support social workers in devising, implementing, and reviewing safeguarding plans
• Maintain awareness of legislative and policy changes and ensure consistent practice
• Deputise for the Team Manager as required
• Promote high professional standards and safe working practices
• Uphold equality, diversity, and inclusion across service delivery
Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Proven experience within a MASH or safeguarding setting
• Experience undertaking Assistant Team Manager or senior practitioner responsibilities
• Strong leadership, coaching, and staff development skills
• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service
