About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions are recruiting an experienced Business Support Officer to join the Children’s & Joint Commissioning Services team in Hartlepool. This role provides professional administrative support to officers, social workers, and managers, ensuring smooth operations in a sensitive and confidential environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative support, including call handling, diary management, room bookings, and meeting preparation
• Manage incoming/outgoing post, scanning, photocopying, and uploading documents to relevant systems
• Maintain accurate records and databases (e.g., ICS, Integra, EPR, EHM – training provided)
• Plan and coordinate meetings, visits, conferences, and travel arrangements
• Deliver a professional reception service with face-to-face and telephone contact
• Produce correspondence, spreadsheets, and desktop publishing materials using Microsoft Office
• Take accurate minutes for a range of meetings including Child Protection, Risk Management, Core Groups, Professionals Meetings, Panels, and Team Meetings
• Support financial processes, including purchase orders, invoices, petty cash, and goods received
• Maintain secure filing systems and archive confidential records
• Ensure compliance with deadlines, security procedures, and council policies
• Participate in training, development, and performance review activities
• Undertake any other reasonable administrative duties as required

Specialist Administrative Responsibilities:
• Support Heads of Service, Team Managers, Social Workers, and Family Support Workers
• Complex data input across multiple information management systems
• Manage complex diaries and sensitive meetings
• Produce high-quality minutes for use in legal proceedings

Requirements:
• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration (or equivalent)
• Proven experience providing administrative support, ideally in a public sector or social care environment
• Excellent organisational, communication, and minute-taking skills
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally and sensitively
