About the Role:
Supply Care Solutions is recruiting an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) on behalf of Haringey Council. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within Adult Social Care, supporting residents to live independently and safely in the community. The role involves daily engagement with residents on the OT waiting list, assessing risk, providing reassurance, and recommending simple equipment where appropriate. You will be supported by the OT Manager and an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist.

Key Responsibilities:
Assessment:
• Assess functional abilities, needs, and difficulties of adults with physical disabilities
• Conduct person-centred assessments to maximise independence
• Support residents in setting meaningful goals to enhance wellbeing at home
• Recommend equipment and complete minor/major adaptations
• Identify safeguarding concerns and complete basic risk assessments
• Recognise carers’ needs and complete carers’ assessments

Provision of Services and Interventions:
• Promote independence and empowerment through advice and evidence-based interventions
• Respond appropriately to risk, neglect, or abuse in line with Safeguarding Adults procedures
• Maintain accurate, timely case records in Mosaic and other IT systems
• Manage caseload independently while meeting performance targets
• Recommend suitable re-housing or alternative services when appropriate

Consultation and Liaison:
• Collaborate with voluntary, statutory, and partner agencies
• Provide guidance to organisations such as Housing Associations and Carer Agencies
• Maintain effective relationships across Adult Social Care, NHS, GPs, and voluntary organisations

Administration:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports
• Adhere to confidentiality, Data Protection legislation, and Caldicott Guidance

Training and Supervision:
• Participate in supervision, appraisals, and service development initiatives
• Act as a professional resource for colleagues and partners
• Contribute to staff induction and team development

Additional Requirements:
• Support service improvement and development within Occupational Therapy
• Comply with Health and Safety at Work legislation
• Maintain knowledge of Community Care legislation
