About the Role:
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client in Stockton-on-Tees for an experienced Senior Family Support Worker to join their team on a temporary basis. This is a pivotal role focused on family reunification and Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversions, supporting children and young people to achieve permanence, stability, and positive outcomes within their family networks. The post is full time, working 37 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work intensively with families to facilitate safe, planned, and sustainable reunification
• Support carers and families through the Special Guardianship Order (SGO) conversion process, providing guidance and practical support
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and contribute to care planning alongside social workers and partner agencies
• Deliver targeted interventions to strengthen family relationships and reduce risk
• Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure stable and successful transitions
• Work effectively within a multi-agency framework to achieve best outcomes for children and families

Requirements:
• Proven experience in family support, reunification work, or permanence planning
• Strong knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and relevant statutory frameworks
• Excellent communication, engagement, and relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage complex cases within a multi-agency environment
• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS – Child Workforce
