About the Role:
Milton Keynes Council is seeking an experienced Adults Social Care Team Manager to join their Access (Front Door) Service and Older People Review Team. This position requires a strong, confident manager who can provide effective leadership, maintain high service standards, and oversee daily operations within a fast-paced environment.
Please note: Candidates must work fully office-based for the first two weeks, after which up to 2 days per week from home may be approved depending on service needs.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Provide day-to-day operational management for the Older People Review Team and Access Team
β’ Offer visible leadership and direction to staff
β’ Deliver supervision and line management to the Deputy Team Manager and Access Team staff
β’ Monitor and oversee service budgets effectively
β’ Quality-check and approve assessments, care plans and contact forms, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements
β’ Provide support, guidance and information to unqualified staff
Requirements:
β’ Strong experience managing Adults Social Care teams
β’ Proven leadership and supervisory skills
β’ Ability to work fully office-based for the first two weeks
β’ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
β’ Social Work England registration (if applicable)
β’ Right to Work in the UK
β’ Completion of the Adult MOC Form (mandatory)
