🕒 Job Type: Temporary – Full Time (Rota pattern averaging 37 hours per week, including sleep-in shifts)
💼 Start Date: Immediate
💰 Rate/Salary: £20.00 per hour

About the Role:
We are recruiting experienced Residential Children Support Workers to join Stoke-on-Trent City Council’s small group homes. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, therapeutic care to vulnerable children and young people, helping to shape brighter futures. Candidates must have prior experience in Children’s Residential Support.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver tailored care plans based on psychological assessments and individual needs
• Work within a strong therapeutic framework developed with a specialist psychological service
• Provide high-quality care, emotional support, and safeguarding for children and young people
• Participate in rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
• Engage in ongoing supervision, training, and monthly clinical consultations

Requirements:
• Previous experience in Children’s Residential Support (mandatory)
• Skilled, flexible, and resilient with a commitment to positive outcomes for children
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
• Up-to-date CV (with no unexplained gaps and all dates clearly listed)
• Two written references (including referee’s full name, phone number, and email address)
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK (e.g., Passport, Visa, Biometric Residence Card)
• National Insurance Number
• Valid DBS Certificate
