About the Role
We are looking for a Revenues & Benefits Officer to efficiently process Council Tax, Housing Benefits, and other Exchequer-related work. You’ll use key financial systems to maintain records, assess entitlements, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to supporting local communities.
Key Responsibilities

Process financial data using relevant systems (e.g. NEC Solutions, NEC Enterprise – Doc Management, Oracle Financials)

Maintain current knowledge of Council Tax legislation, Housing Benefits, and other financial support schemes

Work flexibly across the service to meet changing demands and improve performance

Prioritise workloads to meet service targets and deadlines
-
Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, and external agencies

Adhere to data protection laws and internal policies
What We’re Looking For
✅ Experience & Skills
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience within Exchequer Services

Confident using NEC systems, Oracle Financials, and Microsoft Office
-
Up-to-date knowledge of Council Tax and/or benefits legislation

Strong written and numerical skills

Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
