About the Role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children, young people, and families? We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Family Group Conference and Lifelong Links Coordinator. Join a dynamic and supportive team committed to building and strengthening family networks, improving outcomes for young people, and promoting long-term stability and support.
This is a 7-day service, and while contracted to 37 hours per week, flexible working is in place to support both service delivery and work/life balance. Some evening and weekend work will be required. You will coordinate and deliver both Family Group Conferences (FGCs) and Lifelong Links (LLL) for children, young people, and their families, working independently and directly with families.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Prepare, organise, and facilitate Family Group Conferences and Lifelong Links planning meetings.
β’ Work directly with children, young people, parents, wider family networks, and professionals.
β’ Support families in developing future-focused plans addressing safety and safeguarding concerns.
β’ Collaborate with referring social workers and key stakeholders to support integrated planning.
β’ Deliver mediation and restorative practices to repair or rebuild family connections.
β’ Maintain accurate, timely records and reports.
Requirements:
β’ Experience of working with children, young people, and families in a social care or community setting.
β’ Knowledge of Family Group Conferencing and/or Lifelong Links models is highly desirable.
β’ Strong communication, mediation, and facilitation skills.
β’ Ability to work independently and flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
β’ A restorative and relational approach to family work.
β’ Enhanced DBS (or willingness to undergo one).
