💰 Rate/Salary: £36 per hour (non-negotiable)

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Decision Maker to join the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) at Northamptonshire Children’s Trust. This is a pivotal role in triaging safeguarding referrals and making informed decisions to protect vulnerable children across the region. Please note: this is a desk-based role with no home visits.

Key Responsibilities:
• Triaging incoming referrals and initiating MASH enquiries
• Contacting parents and liaising with agencies to gather key information
• Making clear threshold recommendations (e.g., early help, assessment)
• Providing direction and oversight to MASH Officers (call handlers)
• Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external agencies
• Completing accurate, timely documentation within internal systems

Requirements:
• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Strong knowledge of child protection and threshold decision-making
• Excellent multi-agency communication and professional judgement
• Must be willing to undergo full vetting checks as required for this role
