About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced Housing Options Officer to join our client’s team in Somerset. You will provide advice, information, and assistance to applicants who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

Your role will help applicants explore their housing options and secure suitable accommodation that meets their needs. You will work with a range of partners and agencies to prevent and reduce homelessness in the community, including referral and signposting to supporting agencies.

Remote working available – Duty rota approximately 2 days per week (details discussed at interview). You will be expected to manage a caseload alongside homelessness duty cover.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality housing advice to prevent and relieve homelessness
• Support applicants in identifying and securing suitable accommodation
• Work collaboratively with partners, landlords, and agencies to deliver sustainable housing solutions
• Manage and maintain a caseload in line with statutory homelessness duties
• Undertake duty desk cover on a rota basis (approx. 2 days/week)

Requirements:
• Proven experience in housing options or homelessness prevention
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation and homelessness duties
• Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively
• Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
