About the Role:
We are recruiting passionate and committed Residential Childcare Workers to support young people aged 5–18 in two children’s homes in Derbyshire. One home is dedicated to supporting young people with disabilities.

You will play a vital role in providing care for children who may have experienced abuse, neglect, family breakdown, or present with emotional and behavioural difficulties. Your role will be to help create a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide daily support to young people, including personal care, behaviour support, and medication administration
• Facilitate and support family contact where appropriate
• Encourage independence while supporting those who need additional guidance
• Deliver consistent and nurturing care within a residential setting
• Work early mornings, evenings, night shifts, and sleep-ins as part of a rota
• Uphold safeguarding principles and promote the welfare of every child in your care

Requirements:
• Experience working in residential childcare or similar support roles
• Ability to work flexible shifts including sleep-ins
• Understanding of complex needs and safeguarding practices
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Enhanced DBS Certificate
• Right to work in the UK
