About the Role:
We’re currently recruiting on behalf of Essex County Council (ECC) for an exciting opportunity within their newly established Adult Safeguarding Triage service. Based in Chelmsford, this role is instrumental in supporting vulnerable adults through a robust and responsive safeguarding triage process.

As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a vital role in managing safeguarding referrals and making sound decisions in line with Section 42 of the Care Act 2014. This work contributes directly to ECC’s mission to provide preventative, person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing and triaging adult safeguarding referrals
• Supporting effective decision-making under Section 42 of the Care Act
• Liaising with quadrant teams and building strong multi-agency partnerships
• Contributing to ECC’s preventative and person-centred adult social care strategy

Requirements:
• An up-to-date CV (clearly outlining permanent and agency roles)
• Social Work England registration number
• Proof of Right to Work in the UK (e.g., passport or share code)
• Proof of National Insurance (e.g., payslip, P45/P60, HMRC letter)
• DBS certificate and confirmation of Update Service status
