About the Role:

We’re currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Children’s Adolescent Social Worker to join a supportive multidisciplinary team in Dudley. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility while making a real impact on the lives of adolescents at risk of harm, exploitation, and contextual safeguarding challenges. You’ll play a vital role in delivering child-centred safeguarding and support services that promote long-term positive outcomes for young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake comprehensive assessments of adolescents and their families in line with statutory duties.
• Analyse risk and protective factors in adolescent contexts, including peer, community, and family dynamics.
• Develop and review outcome-focused care and safety plans in partnership with young people and professionals.
• Lead child protection enquiries (Section 47) and attend relevant strategy and legal meetings.
• Support adolescents at risk of CSE, CCE, trafficking, or gang involvement through direct, relational-based interventions.
• Collaborate with key agencies including police, education, health, youth offending teams, and voluntary organisations.
• Prepare high-quality reports for court, case conferences, and LAC reviews; represent the authority in court if needed.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date case records in line with local authority standards.
• Engage in supervision, training, and team development activities.

Requirements:

• Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in frontline children’s services
• Up-to-date DBS certificate
• Eligibility to work in the UK (e.g., Passport or Biometric Visa)
• National Insurance number
• Strong knowledge of contextual safeguarding and adolescent risk factors
