Hours: Full time – Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Type: Temporary until Feb 2026

Job Profile:

• This role will include organising and overseeing family time with children in care and their families as a main duty, supporting with parenting interventions and lifestory work and completing data checks for dental, health and SDQs for children in care.
• You will be based within a central social work assistant team.
• The role is full time and all applicants must have a full driving license and business insurance and be willing to use their car for work purposes.
• Role is based in Durham’s Abbeywoods office, the Children in Care service is county wide however and you may be required to travel to other council offices, such as Seaham and Spennymoor.
• You will need to have experience in the UK working with Children in the care service.
• This is a great role, whether you work in children support, SWA or are a newly qualified social worker.
