Salary: £18.50 per hour

We are looking for individuals with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and supporting library users in a variety of ways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality customer service to library users of all ages.
• Assist library users with IT-related inquiries and help them make use of library computers and resources.
• Support children’s activities, including reading stories and delivering rhyme times to promote early literacy.
• Utilise the library management system to check in/out materials, manage records, and assist users with reservations.
• Offer general support to library users with their learning and information needs.
• Contribute to the development of library services and resources that enhance the community’s engagement with the library.

Essential Criteria:

• Previous experience working in a library, preferably a public library.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with library users in a friendly and helpful manner.
• Experience using library management systems and the ability to troubleshoot basic IT-related issues.
• Strong IT skills, including assisting users with computer-related tasks.
• Experience reading stories and delivering rhyme times for children.
• A positive, proactive approach to supporting library initiatives and community engagement.
