Salary: £34.50 per hour (Experienced Social Worker)
Hours: Full time – 37 hours per week
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (office and home-based)

Job Responsibilities

• Caseload Management:
  • Manage a diverse caseload of varying complexities, with a focus on supporting children in care and safeguarding vulnerable children.
  • Lead on complex assessments, and prepare and present professional evidence in court as required.
• Judgment and Autonomy:
  • Exercise professional judgment in handling complex, high-risk, and uncertain situations.
  • Act confidently and independently in decision-making, maintaining a high standard of practice.
• Assessment Skills:
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine suitable interventions, foreseeing potential progress and outcomes without prejudice.
• Integration of Knowledge:
  • Incorporate a blend of professional expertise, service user perspectives, and current research or evaluation findings into practice.
• Initiative and Skill Development:
  • Actively expand knowledge and skills to enhance response strategies.
  • Utilize insights and proactive approaches to improve family support outcomes and safeguarding measures.

This position offers a hybrid working environment, allowing for a balance between remote and office-based work at Darby House in Telford. The role is designed for an experienced Social Worker capable of handling complex cases and who brings a thoughtful, evidence-based approach to the care of children and family support services.
