PERMANENT Social Worker/Senior Practitioner – Duty and Assessment Team

Supply Care Solutions are looking for a Social Worker/Senior Practitioner – Duty and Assessment Team in Berkshire
SALARY: £35,542 – £40,311 plus £2,000 retention payment per annum starting after one year of service.
TEAM: Duty and Assessment
HOURS: Full time (Monday to Friday)
The team predominately undertakes child in need assessments (Single Assessments) and child protection assessments (Section 47’s) using a range of child and adult tools to enhance our analyses, to measure change and to design short, medium or long-term interventions.
The team works hard – often under pressure – to ensure children and families receive a timely service. We know that social work at the front door is a demanding and complex job. You will work alongside a team equipped with the tools to build meaningful relationships and make lasting changes for families.
You will identify the needs of children and families referred and negotiate delivery of services where appropriate. A large part in this will be to promote listening to children at every opportunity; ensuring their views are heard, recorded and acted upon in an appropriate and timely manner, you will work alongside other professionals in assessing children in need and undertaking child protection and carry a duty caseload of single assessments under S17 and S47 of the Children’s Act. This will include taking part in a weekly duty system (approximately one duty day per week), responding to child protection
Qualified Social Worker Requirements
– CSW/CQSW/DipSW/BA/MA in Social Work
– Completion of ASYE or 2 years experience
– Proven post qualifying experience in working with childrens services
– Current Social Worker England registration
– Current Enhanced DBS Disclosure
– Eligibility to work in the UK without work permit or visa restrictions
– Commitment to the safe care and well-being of vulnerable people
